"Fear has two meanings; ‘Forget Everything And Run’ or ‘Face Everything And Rise.’ The choice is yours." - Zig Ziglar

Fear is a tricky thing. It sneaks in, whispers worst-case scenarios, and convinces you that the safest option is to avoid the challenge altogether. And sometimes, running feels like the logical choice. After all, who enjoys discomfort or uncertainty?

But let’s flip the script for a moment. What if fear wasn’t a warning to retreat but an invitation to rise? Think about it: fear often shows up right before something big—an opportunity to grow, a chance to prove to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought.

Instead of pulling away, what if you leaned in? Facing what scares you doesn’t mean you won’t feel anxious or uncertain, but it does mean you’re refusing to let those feelings control you. Each small step you take toward the thing you’re tempted to avoid builds strength.

The real question isn’t whether fear will show up (spoiler: it always will). It’s how you’ll respond when it does. Will you let it shrink you, or will you let it shape you into someone braver and more resilient?

Today, take a moment to reflect. Is there something you’ve been avoiding because it feels too big or overwhelming? Maybe today’s the day you choose to face it, even if it’s just a tiny first step.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s moving forward in spite of it. You’ve got what it takes.
